About Me...

I'm Chris Field previously aka "Mr Field" from Ysgol Alun in Mold where I taught in the Design and Technology department until 2014. I'm a keen runner and often get out in the Clwydian hills. Over the years I've completed quite few tough races including the Scottish Islands Peak Race, the Lakeland 100 and the Anglesey Ring 'o' Fire.

I am currently working as a disability support assistant. I have been developing my skills as a software engineer and web designer. Most of my work is done in Ruby, the Rails web framework, and JQuery. This site was created using the Jekyll static site generator.

My wife Angela works as a freelance artist and sculptor. She has an amazing talent and I'm fortunate enough to occasionally get to help out especially with things like digging holes, rolling sections of tree trunk around and sharpening chainsaws.

In 2007 we bought four acres of agricultural land which we use to keep two horses, grow vegetables and are developing an orchard (forest) garden growing things outside and in a couple of polytunnels. I have a long-term project on to build a timber framed barn.
